Egypt’s PM participates in 2nd Dakar Financing Summit

On behalf of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly participated in 2nd Dakar Financing Summit on Thursday.

The Egyptian participation in the three-day summit focuses on ways to develop the infrastructure in the African continent, according to a statement issued by the Egyptian Cabinet.

“This conference shows our interest in the development of the African continent,” Madbouly said, stressing that Egypt cares more about the developmental topics in various fields, in cooperation with the World Bank. He also shed light on the project of VICMED (the navigation along the Nile River from Lake Victoria to the Mediterranean Sea) as an example of the joint African development projects.

Madbouly voiced Egypt’s support for the African countries, saying that Egypt is preparing to attract various expertise and implement projects exceeding $100 billion despite the difficulties it faces, to create more than 5 million job opportunities in huge projects.
