Egyptair to Start Flying to Dhaka, Bangladesh

EgyptAir, the country’s national carrier, announced on Monday that it will start two weekly direct flights between Cairo and Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka on 14 May.

To celebrate the launch, Business and economy class travelers will receive a 50 percent discount on the first day of the start of the new route, according to a statement released on by Ihab Tahtawi, the CEO of EgyptAir.

Visas to visit Bangladesh can be acquired in less than 48 hours, EgyptAir noted to all those interested in visiting the southeast Asian country.

Meanwhile, Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Abbas Helmy explained that the launching of the Cairo-Dhaka route reflects the distinguished cooperation between Egypt and Bangladesh in the last half century.

“Egypt attaches great importance to its relations with Asian countries in east and southeast Asia,” added Helmy.
