Egypt’s Omar Fayed set for Fenerbahçe loan exit after just one month

Egypt U23 international Omar Fayed is reportedly set to depart Fenerbahçe on loan to Serbia just a month after his move to Turkey.

Considered one of the biggest talents in Egyptian football, Omar Fayed joined Turkish giants Fenerbahçe last month from Arab Contractors for a reported fee of €550,000.

The 20-year-old was signed mainly for the future and he failed to feature for Fenerbahçe so far this season and is expected to leave on loan to gain first-team experience.

With the transfer deadline closing in Turkey on September 15, Fayed was revealed to heading to Serbia to join FK Novi Pazar alongside teammate Jin-ho Jo.

The news was revealed by Turkish journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu of Sports Digitale on Friday, insisting that the deal is done.

FK Novi Pazar competes in the Super Liga Srbije, the top-tier of Serbian football, and currently sit seventh on the league table.

They are coached by Cypriot manager Sinisa Dobrasinovic and have former Inter Milan and AS Roma midfielder Adem Ljajić in their squad.
