Hurghada came second on the list of the top five romantic destinations for this summer published by the Sun on Tuesday.
“Scuba dive together to see the world-renowned coral reef, relax on white-sand beaches or explore the vibrant town,” were the words used by the British publication to describe the activities that can be assumed by tourists in the Egyptian city bordering the Red Sea.
According to ABTA, a commercial body, British tourists’ bookings to Egypt rose by 39 percent as Britons look for affordable beaches without the worry of cancellation due to Brexit.
According to a statement issued by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) in January 2019, Russian and British tourists capture the largest portion of tourist inflows to Egypt.
“Egypt’s tourism sector’s rate of growth has rapidly increased, recording 16.5 percent, which exceeds the international average rate,” Minister of Tourism Rania al-Mashat previously stated.
