Thousands sang pro-democracy songs and shouted protest slogans whilst Umbrella Movement leaders spoke in Tamar Park in Hong Kong on Saturday (9/28/2019). Throughout the night, protesters frequently sang “Glory to Hong Kong,” a song that is widely seen as the unofficial anthem of the movement. Many also chanted slogans such as “liberate Hong Kong, revolution of our times,” “Hongkongers add oil,” and “five demands, not one less.”
They were shining their phone lights at a rally to commemorate the fifth anniversary of Umbrella Movement. The Civil Human Rights Front, an alliance of pro-democracy NGOs, organized that rally.
