Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said that despite various challenges, Egypt has provided the largest share of aid so far to Palestine.
During Thursday’s cabinet meeting he assured that he is constantly monitoring the situation of the shortage of various aid and fuel for the Gaza Strip.
He also noted the positive results Egypt has achieved during the current Gaza crisis, which has seen worldwide recognition especially following the the temporary ceasefire deal reached in partnership between Egypt and Qatar.
The US will help in facilitating the access of humanitarian aid and relief materials to Palestinians in the Gaza strip.
The Prime Minister referred to the continuous meetings carried out by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi with international parties to present Egypt’s point of view and push towards finding a settlement of the situation in the Gaza Strip.
Madbouly referred to the President of Hungary’s visit, which witnessed the holding of discussions that dealt with ways to strengthen bilateral relations and developments in the regional and international situation, especially in the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian territories.
He also noted Sisi’s meetings with the Prime Minister of Spain, the current President of the European Union, and the Prime Minister of Belgium, the next President of the Union, and holding joint tripartite discussions to discuss developments in the situation.
