The Media Center of the Egyptian Cabinet denied rumors claiming that the Ministry of Communications was launching an application for mobile phones to grant citizens financial loans.
The Media Center communicated with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, which denied the news, stressing that it was baseless.
The ministry has only the Digital Egypt platform, which is concerned with digital government services, and not granting loans, it said, warning citizens against using these applications, stressing that all legal measures will be taken against the promoters of these applications.
