Skipper wins cap
Sam Morsy won his eighth cap for Egypt this evening.
The Town skipper came off the bench late in his side’s game with Ethiopia in Cairo, as he represented the national team for the first time since 2018.
Egypt ran out 1-0 winners in their final Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, having already secured their place in next year’s finals.
Sam could add to his collection of caps on Tuesday, when Egypt face Tunisia in a friendly.
