The Egyptian Foreign Minister has called for an end to all forms of terrorism in Syria in order to restore stability.
During a phone call with the United Nations Special Envoy to Syria Geir Pedersen, Sameh Shoukry repeated Egypt’s full support for efforts to reach a comprehensive political settlement in Syria in line with Security Council resolutions.
The two men also discussed ways to alleviate the suffering of the Syrian people.
In a separate development, the Israeli military launched airstrikes on Syria on Sunday after a second rocket barrage was fired from Syria towards the Golan Heights.
Three rockets were launched from the Syrian territory towards Israel, according to Israel state radio.
