Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry expected to meet Thursday with Stefania Craxi, Italian Senator for the Forza Italia party as part of her visit to Egypt along with high-level Italian delegation.
Craxi explained that her two-day meetings in Cairo come at a sensitive and important time, especially that the Mediterranean region becoming more strategically crucial than ever.
The Italian official also stated that the delegation will be meeting with number of Egyptian parliamentarians at the headquarters of the House of Representatives, in addition to holding talks with Senate Speaker Abdel Wahhab Abdel Razek, Chairman of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, Hazem Omar, Chairman of the Senate Defense and National Security Committee, Osama Kamel Montaser along with Chairman of the Human rights Committee in the Senate Muhammad haiba.
The Italian official also noted that meetings are scheduled to be held with the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States Ahmed Aboul Gheit.
The delegation is also planned to visit the Italian hospital and meet with representatives of the Italian community in Egypt
